How creative have you been this year?  Show Preble County what you can do by entering your artwork and photographs in the Preble County Fair.   The Fine Arts and Photography departments have been merged and are now together in the Visual Arts Department.  Entries for the fair are being accepted now through July 25th.

Entries can be submitted online, at preblecountyfair.org until July 20th.  If you have already created an account for other entries (lambs, pies, or tomatoes, for example), you will also use this account for Visual Arts entries. If you do not have an account you will need to create one following the onscreen step by step instructions.

The Visuals Arts is Department 11, starting on page 74 in the Fair Book.  The Fair Book is available online, at the Fair Office, and also at the Visual Arts Center.  Artwork and Photography are separate divisions within the department and are judged separately.  School age/Juniors, amateur adults and professional adults are all welcome to enter.

This year's Best of Award premiums have been increased to $100 for Best of Show, $75 for 1st Runner Up and $50 for 2nd Runner Up.  Best of Show awards will be given in both art and photography.  First, second and third place awards are available in each class.   The very popular People's Choice Awards will also return.

Artwork and photographs should be dropped off on Thursday, July 24th from 4-7pm and Friday, July 25th from 8am-noon at the Flower and Art Building on the fairgrounds.  Walk-in submissions will also be accepted at those times.  Please note that this is earlier than the date stated on the fair website!  Individuals must purchase a fair membership at a cost of $25, which includes a weekly pass, prior to submitting entries and these passes must be presented at the time of submission.   Memberships may be purchased online or in person at the Fair Office.  The fee for each item/piece entered is $0.25.
