The Annual Juried Art Show at the Visual Arts Center of Preble County will be here before you know it – are you entering your artwork?  Both professionals and amateurs are welcome and fees for PCAA members are only $10 each or 5 for $40.  Fees for non-members are $12 each or 5 for $50. The drop off date for entry forms and artwork is coming up fast, on May 8th and 9th from 1-7pm. 

 

The exhibit will be on display from May 15th to June 27th.  The reception for the exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will be on Thursday, May 15th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

Interested artists may enter up to five 2D and 3D works in multiple mediums, except photography – there will be a juried photography show in the fall. Artists may enter as either professionals or amateurs and awards will be given in both categories, including $150 Best of Show for professionals and $100 Promising Artist for amateurs.  Additional monetary merit awards will be given at the discretion of the juror.  This year's juror is Greg Clem, Assistant Professor of Art at Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio.

 

During the reception, the Art Center will also be hosting Business After Hours, an open house event through the Preble County Chamber of Commerce.   The event will feature artist demos and hands-on art activities as well as information on classes and summer art camps.

Entry forms are available at the Visual Arts Center of Preble County, located at 601 Hillcrest Drive in Eaton, Ohio during regular business hours, Tuesday through Friday from 1-7pm.   They may also be downloaded from the web site, www.takepartinart.net, where additional information and directions can be found.  Questions?  Call the Art Center at (937) 456-3999 or email at office@takepartinart.net.
