PUBLIC COMMENTS

Barbara & Terry Willis

Barbara Willis with question on August 14, meeting and question on Commissioner Stonecash advocating for new leadership of Farm Bureau.  I believe this comment references the August 10, 2011  meeting that was posted on August 14. Listen to File 4A for an audio clip of the statement mentioned.

Commissioner Wesler responded that "He is not here to comment so sorry."

Barbara asks question about July 27th meeting referring to File 1, another short file. That file opens with Commissioner Stonecash commenting; "As I have always said, it is easy to sit behind that computer."

Commissioner Wesler responded "No no no, it's tell the whole story. Sometimes you can take bits and pieces and it is perceived differently when you read it latter. I'll grant him that possibility, but the audio of whole meetings is available at two places on the post of each meeting. Anyone can double click the File number available on the left side, in the post or make use of the table of files at the bottom of the post.

Given the stated position of Commissioner Wesler it is best to listen to this audio file and avoid facing the prospect of being accused of taking my review the wrong way. I obviously do not have time to sit and transcribe hours of Commission meetings every week and they know I don't. Anyone who listens too many of these meetings cannot help but notice that there are comments made where these commissioners play to their knowledge that the audio is available online.  This commission has the ability to put the audio online and offer it free to anyone with an internet connection and they choose not to. As a result I buy the CDs every week and spend a good bi of time to put up a review that at a minimum provides an outline of where items of interest can be found.

7 Minute mark  Denise Robertson of Camden comes to the podium. Denise turned in 13 signatures against Goose Creek Crossing. The petition is available for download.  It states: "We oppose the use of public funds for the development of Goose Creek Crossing".

Denise voiced support for what Barb had to say and concern over the cost of Goose Creek and the lack of financial numbers presented at the recent informational meeting held at National Trail on Goose Creek.
