Rails to Trails Reemergence

This meeting is note worthy for two reasons:

1.      The reemergence of the infamous Rails to Trails issue and David Wesler comment on “..when Preble County finely jumps into reality here and understands that we are the missing link between the east and the west.”

2.      The county having transferred $90,000 to Children’s Services on November 28 now faces the transfer of $107,000 for December.

David Wesler – "You know even though it might be fifty years from now, I know a lady who still sets on the Rails to Trails Board here in the State of Ohio and she sends still sends me all kinds of literature every month or so which I appreciate. Saying you know; when Preble County finely jumps into reality here and understands that we are the missing link between the east and the west. That maybe someday we could realize some grants and stuff to help build a rails to trails. So how does that ever how does that play into it?"  

Chris Day offers his view after having driven Rt. 35 in Indiana the previous Saturday.

Chad Hoke – I know the area between Richmond and Muncie is quite heavily used.
