I received a request to post this survey. 

My very first post on citizensforpreblecounty.com had to do with citizens/now friends fighting to get land back from the county on an old rail bed in north Jefferson Township. The county wanted to use an old rail bed for a bike trail connecting Montgomery County to Wayne County, Indiana’s Cardinal Trail. Another connection was to be into Darke County.  I know the first three families that fought (and won) in court to get their land back. The Anderson & Yorke families were along the east-west route and Paul Bisner had property on line that would have run into Darke.  They did not want a bike trail crossing their rural property and won their cases based on the original right-of-way being conditioned on use as railroad with the land reverting back to the land owner when that was no longer the case.  My hope is that this group does not intend to use the usual attempts at eminent domain to cross property where they do not want it. Any move against those families or others in opposition will result in a fight.  Run it down along Rt. 40 as many cross country riders already follow and I have no opposition.
