General Fund Update – Cell Tower Money to Return to Fair Board – Bridges Bike & Blues

Of interest at this meeting is the large number of employees from various departments getting raises. The commission asked that all General Fund departments hold the line on raises for this year.  Some departments not under the General Fund went ahead and granted raises. This is the first time that I recall hearing all the names and amounts read into the record.  I have requested copies.

Of the rest of the meetings was the discussion on the PCHS asking the use of Courthouse property for a beer garden. The previous two years this was 2-1 vote in favor with David Wesler voting against. This year it was 2-1 against with Chris Day the lone vote in favor.  A number of issues were discussed on the topic. The one that I found most interesting was David Wesler mentioning a loss and risk person (John Brown) from CORSA commenting that it “Scares him to death”. CORSA is the County Risk Sharing Authority established by the CCAO – County Commissioners Association of Ohio. If David is right about CORSA being against it then Chris Day he should step down from his leadership role at CORSA.
